Brian Seastrom Named 2027 “Lawyer of the Year” for Family Law in Orange County

Best Lawyers has named Brian G. Seastrom the 2027 “Lawyer of the Year” for Family Law in Orange County. It is the second year running that he has received the designation, following the 2026 award for Family Law Mediation.

What makes the honor unusual is how narrow it is. Best Lawyers names one attorney per practice area, per metropolitan area, per edition. It is not a list or a tier. It is a single name, and it is decided by peer review, meaning the attorneys who practice family law in Orange County and know the work firsthand.

Receiving it in two different practice areas in consecutive editions says something specific about the practice. In 2026 his peers identified him first in mediation. In 2027 they identified him first in family law itself, the contested, tried side of the work. He does both, and each one informs how he handles the other.

He was also recognized in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for both Family Law and Family Law Mediation, and has been listed in Best Lawyers every year since 2020.
